Office 365 New Microsoft Flow Flows in ODFB (I)!

Microsoft is improving the integration between Flow and SharePoint Online (SPO) and OneDrive For Business (ODFB) by adding additional ready to use Flows. In the case of ODFB, Microsoft has added recently a new “Copy as a PDF” Flow that allows to generate a new PDF for the document selected (Note this Flow is available only for Office documents):

Office 365: Reminder Flow for SPO lists and document libraries (I)!

Integration between Flow and SharePoint Online (SPO) is being continuously improved by adding new scenarios that cover common use cases. One of the latest Flow additions in SPO is the ability to set a reminder based on a date field added to a list or a document library:

  • To try this new Flow, just add a new date column to a list or a document library in your SPO site (“Review date” in my case):

image

  • Once the date column has been added, you will see that the Flow menu in the list / document library shows a new Reminder action based on that column: Set a reminder –> Review Date.

image

  • When you click on the date column name, Flow settings panel to configure the Reminder Flow is opened. As you can see, in that panel you can configure the Flow name and the number of days in advance to your date column you want to send the reminder:

image

  • To create the Flow, just click on “Create”. Of course, the user that created the reminder will be able to review the Flow at any time and modify it if necesary.

  • Finally, we can easily test the Flow by adding some items to the list or document library, fill the date column with a proper date so the Reminder Flow created can send the reminder. In mi case, the reminder e-mail received in my mailbox looks as follows:
