Microsoft 365: Configuring noise suppression in Teams callings and meetings (I)!

Noise suppression in Microsoft Teams callings and meeting is an interesting feature for an scenario where remote work is the norm. There are two possible paths to configure noise suppression in Microsoft Teams:

• By means of the settings section in the user profile window in Teams.
• By means of the device settings in a Teams call / meeting.

For the first option, just click on your profile picture in Teams and then on settings.

On the settings window, you will find the noise suppression configuration in the Devices section. As you can see, by default, noise suppression is configured with the “High” value

However, the noise suppression setting is not available yet when in a Teams call / meeting. More information: Reduce background noise in Teams meetings – Office Support (microsoft.com)

Microsoft 365: Configuración de supresión de ruido para llamadas y reuniones de Teams (I)!

Sin duda, una funcionalidad nueva más que interesante en tiempos en los que el trabajo en remoto es la norma: poder disponer de supresión de ruido de fondo para llamadas y reuniones de Teams. La configuración de la supresión de ruido se puede hacer a dos niveles: a nivel de perfil de usuario y luego a nivel de una llamada / reunión en la que participemos. Para el primer caso basta con acceder al perfil del usuario en Teams y luego hacer clic en settings:

Luego en la sección de dispositivos, simplemente seleccionaremos la opción de supresión de ruido que queramos utilizar. Por defecto, está configurado en modo High.

Por el momento lo que no tenemos es la posibiidad de configurar la opción de supresión de ruido a nivel de llamada / reunión. Más información: Reduce background noise in Teams meetings – Office Support (microsoft.com)
