Office 365: A first look to the modern page templates in SPO (I)!

Finally the so long waited page templates for modern SharePoint Online (SPO) Sites are finally here so any user can easily create beautiful pages from default templates or just create new page templates. By default, Microsoft provides thee page templates:

As you can see, when a page template is selected, the details of that page are shown in the create page panel. Additionally, any new page template created on the site it’s listed in the “Save on this site” section. If we choose any of the available page templates, a new moder page with the exact look & feel and structure is displayed in the browser:

At the moment of saving the page, we can either save the page as a site page or as a page template:

If we save the page as a template, it will be presented as an option to any user creating a new page on the site. Additionally, any new page template crated on the site is going to be saved in the “Templates” folder in the “Site Pages” library.

Office 365: Un vistazo a las plantillas de páginas modernas (I)!

Las plantillas de páginas modernas por fin han llegado a SharePoint Online (SPO) facilitando que se puedan crear páginas nuevas a partir de estas o bien creando nuevas plantillas a partir de páginas ya publicadas. Por defecto, cuando un usuario procede a crear una página en un sitio moderno se muestran 3 plantillas de página:

Como se puede apreciar, cuando se selecciona una de las plantillas disponibles, se puede ver los detalles de la misma. Además, si hay nuevas plantillas de páginas veremos una sección “Saved on this site” que muestra plantillas personalizadas que se han creado en el sitio. Si elegimos una de las plantillas existentes para crear la página, a continuación se muestra una nueva página con la configuración y estructura de la plantilla seleccionada:

En el momento de guardar la página tenemos la opción de publicar la página o bien guardarla como plantilla:

Si guardamos la página como plantilla, aparecerá como plantilla disponible para crear nuevas páginas. Además, todas las plantillas que se creen se guardará en la carpeta Templates en la biblioteca de Site Pages.
