Office 365: Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant for Office 365–Part II!

In my previous post, I introduced you SaRA as recommended tool for making an initial troubleshooting and performance analysis of some Office 365 services and also advanced diagnostics that are targeted to replace functionality provided by Microsoft Office 365 Client Performance Analyzer (OCPA):

  • First thing we will do to try SaRA is just run SaRA’s shortcut in our desktop so troubleshooting and diagnostics options are displayed. Click on the Advanced diagnostics option:

  • Then you will see the option to make an advanced diagnostic for Exchange Online (EXO) (For now, there is not an option to make a similar diagnostic for SharePoint Online, but I expect It will come). Just click on this option:

  • In the following screen, you will see two diagnostics options. Just click on the option that allows you to make de EXO connectivity diagnostic:

  • Then, just indicate that the machine having connectivity problems is the current one and type your Office 365 credentials:

  • Click on “Next” button so the EXO connectivity diagnostic process is started

  • Finally, you will end with a summary of all the connectivity results gathered by SaRA that you will have to deeply review to detect issues and problems when connecting to EXO:
